Much recycled steel drum metal art is so wonderfully ornate that it's nice to have a visual rest once in a while. And, today's Friday Photo, "Three Trees," presents just that. Enjoy.

This is one of our favorite recycled metal art pieces that, unfortunately, isn't a favorite of most customers. While we call it "Metal Medusa," the artist of the piece explains that it's actually Damballah, an important Vodoun loa or spirit.
However you interpret this compelling piece, it's a great addition to your art collection. A break from Haitian metal art for this Friday Photo. And while we usually don't have such lofty titles for our blog posts, we feel compelled --probably the result of overexposure to unreal, rapidly changing politics--to post the following photo that was a part of a very clever exhibit at the gift shop at the Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh. Yes, and there's strange fruit, too.
And, while we're on the subject of Pittsburgh, Three Stone Steps is delighted to be vending there again for their downtown holiday market. Stay tuned for more. |
